Year 2 - Owls & Penguins
Welcome to Year 2!
During Summer Term, Owls and Penguins will be learning about journeys and our theme is 'Off We Go!'.
We will learn about travel and transport of both the present and the past such as steam trains and the first aeroplane. We will be focusing on our 'History Hero' Isambard Kingdom Brunel and the constructions he designed and built.
In English, we will think about a different kind of journey as we look at the book 'Zeraffa Giraffa' by Dianne Hofmeyr and Jane Ray. We will write diary entries as we imagine we are Atir and Zeraffa on their journey from the plains of Africa to the city of Paris.
